What Convinced you to Leave?
by LaurenM ini've been posting here a lot, but these last few weeks have been very difficult for me.
anyways, lately, i've been thinking about confessing everything i've done to the elders and going back, but deep down, i don't really think it's the truth...so my question is, what convinced you it wasn't the truth and that leaving wasn't a horrible decision that everyone in the truth makes it out to be?

What convinced me? Their self worship. It oozes out of every pore in their body. -

Largest amount of refugees since WW2 in Europe
by Powermetal4ever inso i had a discussion with my mother about this, and she claims that because of this that: "we are surely living in the last days right now" while i must admit myself that the situation seem chaotic, i don't want to believe that it is the last days.
so question is, how do i face an opinion like that?

Powermetal4ever, there will never be anything like "the last days" in the Bible. We can have major catastrophes with 90% of our population killed but that would not be Armageddon or any other aspect of the Biblical predictions and interpretations thereof.
As for playing the game of which disaster is the worse my two favorites are the Black Death (Bubonic plague) and the Taiping rebellion.
The Bubonic/Pneumonic plague pandemics of the 14th century killed 1/4 of the population throughout Eurasia in the first sweep. There were four other pandemics in a 100 year period. I mention this example not merely because of its large numbers but because of the large percentage of the population affected.
The Taiping Rebellion was a civil war in China in 1850-1864 that killed 20 million people. I like to use this as an example because even though more people died in World War II this war happened before 1914. That should throw the Witnesses off balance.

by ReligionOfHatred inthere's a interesting situation emerging where i live and i want to share it all with you because its proof i think jehovah has pulled his holy spirit away.
when elders think they can steal from the government and pretend to be holy, than jehovah god has left us!.

Royal Commission taking our emails to heart
by wannaexit induring the proceedings of australian royal commission, as many of you, i also took time to share with the office of mr stewart, my thoughts and perspective on what what being said and not said by the witness elders on the stand.
within a day a received a reply from office of angus stewart thanking and appreciating the insight from those on the "inside".
yesterday i received a further email that my correspondence was passed on to case study 29 (jehovah's witnesses) team for their consideration.. it sounds like they are taking all our collective experience and knowledge into account as the commission continues its work..

I also received an email of gratitude for the info I gave them. They must have had thousands of those emails. I'm surprised they had time to read and respond to them all. They must have a lot of helpers in their team.
I thought their investigation of the JWs was over. What are they doing right now?

Dead Relative Due To Blood Policy?
by AlanF in.
i'd like to hear comments from anyone who had a relative die because of the watchtower society's misguided policy on blood transfusions.. alanf

I know of the opposite of a relative dying due to refusing a blood transfusion. It was a sister in the congregation that gave birth to a child. It was either she or her infant that needed a blood transfusion and she made the decision to accept it. She was disfellowshipped, of course, so now a baby had its mother and a mother had her infant. -
